Photography has been one of my favorite things to do for the past 5 years. I learned about the true art of photography through my sister who graduated with high honors in graphic design and photography. You see photos everywhere you go and in everything you do. Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook are just a few platforms which favor the art of photography. I learned that photos aren't just "photos", but that each one is a story.
Each and every photo holds a story within it, whether it is an abandoned building that dates back to the 1950's, or a portrait of a person who has been through more than you know. The new art of the century is within this new style of art. Just like any other form of art, there is a artist behind it.
It is very intriguing to me that every photo has someone behind it taking that photograph. You are seeing what their eyes see through that picture. It is a way to see how others see the world through their eyes. This is another thing that really drew me into this form of art. I found that I didn't need to draw, write, or create something with my hands, but venture out into the world and show others what I see. I am able to show viewers what I see when I look at the earth and what it contains. Not only has this brought tremendous joy into my life, but it has brought joy to those around me. I hope to continue to share my photos and the story behind them.
